Dissatisfaction has been measured through the constructs of exit, negative word of mouth and resorting to third party influence. The paper explores Pakistani culture with the lens of Hofstedeā€™s cultural dimensions theory and its impact on behavioral response. The selected cultural dimensions include uncertainty avoidance, individualism and achievement orientation. The research was conducted on the beauty and wellness industry whereby data was collected from 290 female customers of beauty salons. Analysis was done through Process Macro by Hayes moderation model 1. The current study's results, based on a cross-sectional survey design, show that Pakistani culture, as measured along the Hofstede dimensions of achievement, uncertainty avoidance and individualism play a moderating role and has consequences on negative word of mouth, exit and third-party influence. Despite its functional importance, there has been very little academic literature that specifically considers the impact of culture on behavioral responses to service failure experiences. This study makes a theoretical contribution through extending the existing knowledge base of the study variables and applies the Hofstede model on a new avenue of research. It also provides valuable insights for decision makers in the industry on how to retain and build their base of customers.
Usamah Billah Zoobia Saeed Copyright (c) 2023 Journal of Management and Administrative Sciences (JMAS) 2023-12-22 2023-12-22 3 2 1 18 Information Asymmetry and Risk in Agile Projects: The Role of Project Governance and Trust http://jmas.pk/ojs/index.php/1/article/view/54
Over the years, researchers and practitioners have been puzzled over the low efficiency and poor performance of the IT projects. Previous literature has tried to uncover the variety of critical factor, including project governance, project risk management and agile project methodology, which can trigger the performance of the project. Information asymmetry concept has been widely used in different areas and subfield of management research and its existence is the main assumption of many leading theories on organizations such as agency theory. However, the area remains underdeveloped. The main objective of the study is to examine the impact of project governance and agile methodology on project performance in the presence of information asymmetry and project risk as mediator and trust as moderator. The survey yields 374 responses from the IT industry of Pakistan. Hayes Process and IBM SPSS were utilized for data analysis. The study finds that project governance and agile project methodology have significant positive impact on the level of information asymmetry directly. The study also found significant relationship between level of information asymmetry and project risk, whereas serial mediation and moderation was found to be insignificant. The findings of the study have managerial and theoretical contribution for this unique area of research. It will also help the IT firms of developing countries who want to improve their performance through the use of project governance and agile project methodology.
Mian Sajid Nazir Copyright (c) 2023 Journal of Management and Administrative Sciences (JMAS) 2023-12-22 2023-12-22 3 2 19 46 Fostering Future Entrepreneurs: Exploring the Role of Extracurricular Engagement on University Campuses http://jmas.pk/ojs/index.php/1/article/view/62
Purpose: The purpose of this study is underscored by its potential to offer nuanced insights into the mechanisms through which extracurricular activities and entrepreneurial orientation impact students' entrepreneurial self-efficacy and intention.

Design: The study was carried out via Partial Least Squares-Structural Equation Modelling (PLS-SEM) and a meticulously designed survey questionnaire.

Findings: The connection between entrepreneurial orientation and entrepreneurial intention further reinforces the study's contributions. The results illuminate that students embracing an entrepreneurial orientation exhibit a stronger inclination toward entrepreneurship. Based on social cognitive theory and social exchange theory, this research investigates means and boundary conditions through which a humble leader inspires follower behaviour. We tested mediated moderation model by time lag data. Results reveal that leader humility positively influences follower outcomes (follower self-efficacy and follower commitment). Essentially, results support the hypothesized model that follower self-efficacy mediates the positive association between leader humility and follower commitment. This relation is more substantial when the leader proactive personality is high (and vice versa). Additionally, results support mediated moderation. This research contributes to the psychological theories and augments the literature on leader humility. The implications of the study are also explained. The research disclosed the potential limitation that could be fruitful for future researchers.
Farwa Asghar Shahid Mahmood Kanwal Iqbal Khan Muhammad Naeem Copyright (c) 2023 Journal of Management and Administrative Sciences (JMAS) 2023-12-22 2023-12-22 3 2 69 88 Predictors of Job Satisfaction in Teachers of Female Public Sector Universities http://jmas.pk/ojs/index.php/1/article/view/67
This research aims to identify factors influencing job satisfaction among female Public Sector Universities (FPSU) teachers. By using a survey-based, cross-sectional research design, we examine, evaluate, and discover how contingent rewards (COR) and perceived organizational support (POS) affect job satisfaction (JS). In this study target population is Lahore College for Women's University (LCWU), a Public Sector Institution of higher learning for women in Lahore, Pakistan. Through the use of self-administered surveys and a variety of established scales or instruments, the data is gathered to assess job satisfaction, perceived organizational support, and contingent rewards. Data collection and research about the influence of demographics on job satisfaction is also done using the demographic information sheet (DIS). Lahore College for Women University, Lahore, Pakistan, is the site of the research, which is conducted on the teaching faculty members there. The SPSS program is used for data analysis, which covers both descriptive and inferential statistics such as ANOVA, correlation, regression, and "t" test. The research is based on the relevant articles and research papers referenced via EndNote. The findings demonstrate that perceived organizational support and contingent rewards are two crucial elements that significantly enhance the teaching faculty at Lahore College for Women University's job satisfaction and serve as its predictors. This study has theoretical, methodological, procedural, and practical implications because its analyses, interpretations, and results can be used to make Teachers satisfied and to increase overall efficiency. Contingent rewards and perceived organizational support play a crucial role in boosting job satisfaction and serve as key indicators for predicting job satisfaction.

Keywords: Job Satisfaction, Perceived Organizational Support, Contingent Rewards and female Public Sector University.
Syed Intasar Hussain Kazmi Prof. Dr. Nadia Nasir Dr. Shahan Mehmood Cheema Copyright (c) 2023 Journal of Management and Administrative Sciences (JMAS) 2023-12-22 2023-12-22 3 2 89 111
